On November 14, 2013 a Bylaws Committee was formed to review and consider the need to recommend changes to the TJCSA Bylaws. Janet Nielsen of Davidson County Juvenile Court was appointed to chair the standing committee.
A list of proposed changes were presented by Janet Nielsen to the TJCSA Executive Committee on May 2, 2014 for consideration. The TJCSA Executive Committee adopted the list of recommended changes on that same date to be proposed to the voting TJCSA membership.
Pursuant to Article XIV of the TJCSA Bylaws, amendments require a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership present. The TJCSA membership will vote on the proposed changes at our annual business meeting on the last day of the 31st Annual Joint Conference on Juvenile Justice on August 6, 2104 at 9:00am at The Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, TN .
